The complete Nardi colour guide for Irish hotels, cafés and pubs: every resin colour, Komodo and Maximo frames and cushions, and how to mix them.
Choosing Nardi colours for a hotel terrace, a café frontage or a pub beer garden is the decision you live with longest, because Nardi furniture is built to last a decade of Irish weather and the colour you pick in year one is the colour you will be matching in year eight. CWDH stocks the full Nardi contract range in every colour variant, so this guide puts the whole palette in one place: the core resin colours used across chairs, tables, stools and loungers, the frame-and-cushion system behind the Komodo and Maximo lounge ranges, the cushion fabrics for Net and Doga, and practical advice on which colours suit which Irish venue, how to mix them and how to make sure a reorder matches. Swatches here are indicative on screen; ask us for a physical sample before a large order.
Key takeaways
Nardi is an Italian manufacturer whose contract furniture is made from fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene resin, injection-moulded in one piece. The pigment is mixed through the resin before moulding, which is why a Nardi chair has no paint to flake and why a scuff from a stacking trolley does not reveal a different colour underneath. The same colour names recur across ranges, so a Bora chair in Tortora, a Cube table in Tortora and a Net lounge chair in Tortora are the same tone and can sit together.
Not every colour is made in every piece. The big three, Antracite, Tortora and Bianco, appear almost everywhere. Agave and Tabacco cover most of the dining and bistro ranges. The brighter accents, Senape, Corallo, Salice, Menta, Celeste and Rosa Quarzo, are concentrated in the bistro chairs and Net range. The lounge ranges, Komodo and Maximo, use their own frame palette. The charts below show what CWDH stocks.
City café and street terrace. Antracite reads as smart against stone and brick, hides Dublin grime between cleans and photographs well. Tortora is softer and warmer on a north-facing street. Our ready-made Grafton Street café terrace set is Tortora for exactly that reason; the Temple Bar street bistro set is Antracite.
Seaside and harbour. Bianco and Tortora suit coastal light, and a run of Celeste or Salice chairs picks up the water without looking themed. The Dún Laoghaire Pier Net terrace set pairs Clip 80 tables with Net chairs in Tortora.
Heritage hotel and country house. Tabacco and Caffè sit comfortably against old stone, lawns and planting; Agave does the same in greener settings. Avoid Bianco on gravel and under trees, where it shows every mark.
Pub beer garden. Antracite or Basalto for the bulk of the seating, with one accent, Senape or Corallo, on a quarter of the chairs to lift the space. Dark colours also hide the inevitable spilled stout.
Hotel pool and spa. Bianco and Tortora loungers with Gesso or Basalto lounge pieces keep the area calm; a single Menta or Celeste accent on side tables is enough.

Three rules keep a mixed terrace coherent. First, keep tables neutral: Antracite, Tortora or Bianco tops and bases, and let chairs carry the colour. Second, pick one accent colour per zone, not one per table; a run of eight Senape chairs along a wall is a design decision, while two Senape, two Corallo and two Agave looks like leftovers. Third, match the accent to something fixed: the awning, the signage, the planting or the brand colour on the menu covers, so the colour has a reason to be there.
Mixing within a set works well with Nardi because the moulds are shared across colours. The Net balcony bistro set, for instance, is available in Salice, Tortora, Corallo, Senape, Bianco and Antracite, so a hotel can run neutral sets on most balconies and accent sets on the suites.
The lounge ranges are specified in two parts. The frame comes in Terra, Gesso, Cactus or Basalto, and the cushions come in four fabrics, Timo, Perla, Lava and Cannella, with Sunbrella and Regeneration fabric versions available on many pieces. Every frame colour is offered with every cushion fabric, which gives sixteen combinations before you reach the fabric upgrades. The combinations that most Irish venues settle on are Basalto with Perla for hotel terraces, Gesso with Timo for coastal and spa settings, and Terra with Cannella where the venue wants warmth against grey Irish skies.
Net chairs and lounge chairs, and the Doga range, take their own seat cushions in a separate fabric palette: Adriatic, Canvas, Avocado, Tech, Rosa Quarzo, Grigio, Ghiaccio and Giungla, among others. The cushion is where a venue can introduce a stronger colour without committing the furniture to it; a Tortora Net chair with an Adriatic cushion for summer and a Grigio cushion for the shoulder season is a common pattern.
Nardi furniture is dispatched from the factory according to stock. Colours that are in stock arrive faster; made-to-order colours and larger sets typically take four to six weeks. Plan a spring terrace in January, a summer pool area in March and a Christmas smoking area in October.
Reordering is where the full-range listing earns its keep. Because CWDH lists every Nardi colour on every piece, your order history shows the exact colour name, and the same chair can be added in the same colour years later. We recommend noting the colour name, not just "grey", on your internal asset list, because Grigio, Basalto, Antracite and Tortora are four different greys.
Two housekeeping points. Light colours such as Bianco, Gesso and Perla show marks sooner and want a wipe-down each morning; dark colours hide marks but show pollen and salt. And Nardi's own covers, which CWDH also stocks, extend the life of every colour through an Irish winter.

Which Nardi colours are available on every piece? Antracite, Tortora and Bianco appear across almost the whole range. Agave and Tabacco cover most dining and bistro pieces; the brighter accents are concentrated in bistro chairs and the Net range.
Will the colour fade or chip? Nardi's resin is coloured through the material, so scuffs do not reveal a different colour underneath, and the furniture is designed for outdoor use. Light colours show marks sooner; dark colours show pollen and salt. Regular cleaning and winter covers keep any colour looking new.
Can I mix colours in one set? Yes. Keep tables neutral, choose one accent per zone and tie the accent to something fixed such as signage or planting. Many CWDH sets are offered in several colours.
How are Komodo and Maximo colours chosen? Frame in Terra, Gesso, Cactus or Basalto, cushions in Timo, Perla, Lava or Cannella, with Sunbrella and Regeneration fabric options on many pieces.
How long does a Nardi order take? Faster where the colour is in stock at the factory; otherwise typically four to six weeks. See our Delivery & Lead Times page and order early for popular pieces.
