What is actually in a Securit menu set?

Every set in the Restaurant Menu Cover Sets collection is built the same way: ten menu holders from one range and colour, and twenty transparent pouches to go inside them. That ratio is deliberate. Ten holders covers a typical dining room or a section of a larger one; twenty pouches means every holder has a fresh pouch on day one and a spare in the drawer for the first menu change. Pouches cloud, crease and get sauce on them long before the covers wear, so a set that ships without spares is a set you re-order in three months.

Securit menu sizes explained: A4, A5, A45 and Wine Card

A4 (roughly 34 × 24 cm as a holder) is the food-menu size. Two pouches give four faces; it is the size to lay out starters, mains and desserts at a type size a guest can read by candlelight.

A5 (about 25 × 18 cm) is the short-list size: breakfast rooms, bar food, room service, afternoon tea, a dessert card. It fits between place settings without moving a glass.

A45 is Securit's own format – A4 high and A5 wide, about 35 × 19 cm. It is the tall, slim holder for cocktail lists, beverage menus and tasting menus; it stands in the hand, sits on a bar top and looks intentional beside a glass. The Trendy Beverages A45 in white and the Design Croc A45 in black are the two sets in this size.

Wine Card holders are A4-height covers with the internal layout designed for a wine list – more pages, a slimmer profile. They come as sets in their own right (Trendy, Classic, Design Cork, Design Velvet) and as the wine-card element of every Menu Suite.

The seven Securit ranges, one by one

Trendy – the everyday professional

The Trendy range is the workhorse: a slim vegan-leather-style cover at just 0.4 cm, wipe-clean, with an embossed MENU on the front. It is the range that fills most Irish restaurants because it disappears into any interior and survives anything a Saturday night throws at it. Colours run to black, blue, green, light brown and wine red in A4 and A5; there is an A45 black, a wine-card version in black, and the Beverages A45 in white for cocktail bars. Start here if the venue is casual dining, a bistro, a hotel bar or a café upgrading from laminated sheets: the Trendy A4 Black for food, the Trendy A5 Green or blue where the room has colour to pick up, and the Trendy Beverages A45 White for the drinks list.

Classic – leather-look with gold detail

Classic is a step up in weight (0.5 cm) and formality: a leather-style cover with gold-tone corner and detail accents, in black, brown, wine red and ivory. It reads as traditional rather than fashionable, which is what a hotel dining room, a steakhouse or a carvery restaurant usually wants. Sizes cover A4, A5 and A45 plus a Classic Wine Card in black. The Classic A4 Black is the anchor; wine red suits a hotel with a red-and-gold scheme, and the Classic A5 Ivory is the breakfast-room and afternoon-tea choice.

Signature – the padded cover

Signature is the thick one: a 2 cm padded cover, 25 × 31.5 cm in A4, that feels substantial in the hand and lies flat on the table. It is the range for venues where the menu is handed over with ceremony – fine dining, hotel restaurants, private-dining rooms – and it comes in black, brown, green, sand and beige, in A4 and A5. The Signature A4 Brown is the classic pairing with oak tables and leather banquettes; sand and beige suit the lighter, Scandinavian rooms that have replaced them in newer hotels.

Nature – soft, matt and natural-toned

Nature is the quiet range: a soft-touch matt cover at 0.8 cm in beige, brown and black, with no gloss and no gold. It belongs in farm-to-fork restaurants, coffee roasteries, wellness hotels and anywhere the interior is linen, oak and clay. A4 and A5 sets are available, and Nature also appears in three Front-of-House sets with matching bill presenters. The Nature A4 Beige is the one to see first.

Wood – the wood-finish cover with its own pouches

The Wood range is a rigid, wood-finish cover 2 cm thick (32.2 × 26.6 cm in A4) that takes its own Wood-range pouches rather than the standard transparent ones – which is why the Wood sets ship with four packs of five rather than two packs of ten. Colours are brown, black, blue, wine red and beige across A4 and A5. It suits gastropubs, brasseries and anywhere the tables are wooden and the menu should look as if it grew there. The Wood A4 Brown is the natural starting point.

Leather – genuine leather in four finishes

The Leather range is real leather, and it comes in four finishes that read very differently on the table. Raw is the natural, slightly irregular grain – black, brown or white – and it is the most popular because it ages well and hides the marks of service. Royal is the smooth, formal finish in black or red for the dining rooms that want polish. Ruga is a textured brown with a visible grain that suits leather-and-brass interiors. Ego is a sleek black with a minimal front for modern fine dining. All are A4 sets of ten with twenty pouches, with Raw and Ruga also in A5. Design – cork, velvet, paisley and croc

Design is where Securit lets the cover become part of the interior. Cork is a light, warm, sustainable-looking face that has become the signature of Irish cafés and wine bars. Velvet is deep and soft for cocktail bars and boutique hotels. Paisley is a patterned cover for gastropubs and eclectic dining rooms. Menu Suites: menu, wine list and bill in one range

A Menu Suite is the full tabletop stationery for a restaurant floor: ten menu holders, ten wine cards and ten bill presenters, all from the same range, so nothing handed to the guest clashes with anything else. There are five: the Trendy A4 Black Suite with slim bill presenters and a second Trendy suite with magnetic-lid bill presenter boxes; the Classic A4 Black Suite; and Design suites in Cork and Velvet, each paired with black bill presenter boxes. The interesting ones are where the two pieces contrast on purpose: Leather Raw brown menus with teak-block bill presenters, Leather Raw white with stainless steel bill presenters, Leather Ego black with beechwood. Pouches, care and how long the sets last

Standard sets take the transparent A4, A5 or A45 pouches (product codes MC-TIA4, MC-TIA5, MC-TI45); Wood sets take the Wood-range pouches. Keep a box of spares with the printed menus, change pouches when they cloud rather than when they tear, and the covers themselves will run for years. Wipe leather-style and Design covers with a damp cloth and mild detergent; wipe genuine Leather and buff dry; wipe Wood and stand it to air. Store spare covers flat. A menu set bought for a new opening typically outlasts two or three menu redesigns, which is the point of separating the cover from the print.
