A Bar Manager's Guide to LAV Glassware: Which Collection for Which Drink?

Archie for cocktails, Sofia for coupes and cognac, Rotterdam for highballs, Mallorca for everyday service — how to build a glassware programme from the LAV ranges.
Glassware is the most-handled, most-broken and most-photographed equipment behind any bar — so it pays to choose ranges deliberately rather than glass by glass. Here's how we'd map the LAV collections we stock to the drinks you actually serve.
Archie is the range guests notice. Its arched embossing, inspired by classic architecture, catches the light and gives cocktails a strong visual identity. The collection covers the whole cocktail programme: the martini glass and coupe for up drinks, the highball and cocktail glass for long drinks, a stem glass, a latte glass for the coffee menu and a shot glass for the back bar. Fully tempered and scratch-resistant, it's made for intensive professional service, not just looks.
Sofia covers the specialty stem serves: a retro coupe for champagne and prosecco, a margarita glass that doubles for desserts, a cognac glass shaped to concentrate aroma, and even a stemmed vodka glass for tastings. If your venue does weddings, aperitivo hours or a serious digestif list, Sofia is the range that makes those moments look right.
Rotterdam's slim silhouettes are designed to show off the colour of the drink — which makes it the natural home for classic cocktails and highballs where the liquid is the show: Old Fashioned and Negroni in the whiskey glass, G&T, mojito and Paloma in the long drink glasses, liqueurs in the 65 ml liqueur glass.
For water, soft drinks, iced teas and juices, the Mallorca lowball and tall glasses give clean, durable everyday service. Pair them with the Istanbul carafe — its linear embossing improves grip and pouring comfort — for table water service that looks considered without shouting.
A practical starting programme for a bar or restaurant: one statement cocktail range (Archie), one stemware range for sparkling and digestifs (Sofia), one everyday range with matching carafes (Mallorca + Istanbul). All LAV glassware in our glass collection is sold in supplier packs — mostly 6 or 12 per pack — with the pack size shown on every product page, so you can scale the same look across the whole venue.
